Information Sheet on Installing Fitting a Shower Assembly/Cubicle

For the sake of this article, we’re assuming you’re fitting a complete new non-tiled cubicle shower assembly in a utility room with a combi boiler close by, or the hot water cylinder positioned in the room above. The type of
basetiling and cubicle you choose are essentially down to cost and personal preference but the type of shower unit you will need, is dependent on other, more practical factors as well.

Conventional: low pressure: pumped: electric: pumped electric: (for want of a better phrase), there’s quite a choice. Have a butcher’s at the other shower articles which are also in the bathroom “drop down list”. Then there’s also
Wall Tiling and Floor Tiling. Take your sandwiches and have a look!

So, what do we have? A utility room with hot and cold water in it, a handy corner doing nothing at the moment and a suspended wooden floor with lino. The supply pipework and any cables, will be concealed in the wall.
