Information Sheet on Fitting a Door Bell

Mine plays the introduction to “Dixon of Dock Green”, (I’m afraid you need to be well over 60, sorry)! so when people leave the house I can stand on the doorstep and give them a little homily followed by a cheery smile, then finish it all off with a smart salute. (That soon stops them coming back)!

Be careful though, if the one you buy has a really catchy tune, you’ll be singing it all day!

Aren’t they all wireless nowadays? Don’t the bell pushes come with sticky stuff on the back? For goodness sake, if you can’t put a couple of batteries in that, then one in the chimer unit and slap it in the bookshelf, then you deserve to pay the £35.00 a bloke will charge to do it for you!

Hang on though, the batteries do cost a lot
and they keep “going”, so let’s see what a proper job will cost.
