The problem here of course, is that if it costs you £90 to get the thing put together, you might as well have bought a complete one in the first place. That I’m afraid is just too bad. Unless you can “Little Old Lady” him, a builder will charge for his time and that’s that.

Hang on, why are you reading this? Your units are “self-assembly” aren’t they? That means you, that does. You should be halfway to having a lovely new wardrobe by now instead of googling “how to prevent bedroom rage.”

It’s the instructions isn’t it? Once you eventually found the page that’s in English, you thought you were home-free didn’t you? But now you’re in a horrible muck sweat, you’ve broken all the ends off your Christmas screwdrivers, the air is blue, your children are hiding in the dog’s basket, your wife has locked herself into the car!

If you could find the man who penned those instructions, right now you would quite happily spend 20 years in nick for garrotting him, after all, it’s going to take that long for you to calm down anyway.

There is another way! get someone like me to do it for you. I won’t get angry, or stressed, or climb all over the ceiling, because you are going to pay me! Believe me, after grovelling around in a trench all week, or getting blown off a roof, slotting together a wardrobe is a bloomin’ doddle!
