1An easily removed and replaced panel, (not one that he has to destroy to get it off) and bath taps are at the open end of the bath. Half a day.

2To get another bloke in to rebuild a bath panel that wasn’t so easy to remove.

3If the bath taps are at the wall end and he can’t get the furthest one out, he will have to remove the bath, do the job then put it back This is bound to mean a bit of tiling as well! Call it a day and a half.

“Labour” at £175 a day (tradesman) £100 (labourer), includes incidental fixings etc. and tipping. “Materials” if mentioned, are larger things (a boiler) and stuff only you can choose (tiles etc).  Also VAT must be added all round.

Ah ha! I knew you’d start to hate those gold effect things eventually. It took 25 years but I was right! Or is it because the tops wobble and won’t 
quite turn off properly? Whatever, they’re going, and good riddance!

Is there a little hatch, or a nice easy to remove 
bath panel? Let’s hope so, or it’s going to cost. It may get expensive anyway if the bath taps are against the wall and have been there a while, (25 years is a while by the way).
