Description
labour
1The daft little plastic £35.00 rose, with the light reconnecting. One man will charge half a day plus his materials including the cost of the £35 rose.
£135
2 “The big one”. A hundred and fifty quid solid plaster ceiling rose. This will have to be screwed and glued in place, the screw holes and edges made good and the light re hung. Two men will charge half a day plus materials including the cost of the rose.
£300

“Labour” at £175 a day (tradesman) £100 (labourer), includes incidental fixings etc. and tipping charges. “Materials” if mentioned, are larger things (a boiler) and stuff only you can choose (tiles etc).  Also VAT must be added all round.

General Ceiling Rose Information

“Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose”. But we are not talking Gerturde Stein here however. Quite the opposite in fact. A rose is not just a rose – there is a wide variety of ceiling roses and, as with most things, you get what you pay for. If you want a big old plaster Victorian style ceiling rose, it will cost you, but look amazing and add value and character to your home (in the
right home).

If it’s a more modest affair you require, you can get them at the nearest DIY store and it can be stuck up there with ‘no nails’ adhesive. Nothing spectacular here, but possibly better than nothing.
