What’s happened? Have we stepped through a time warp? Have a quick look outside, are all the blokes wearing trilbies and do they all look like Wilfred Pickles? Is there a rag and bone man at the end of the street? Can you hear that Hovis tune on a nearby wireless?

How much to sweep a chimney!!! We’ve all got 7 series “beamers” and go to Florida twice a year. Our house doesn’t even have chimneys! We think…

Well mine does! And I light the fire every night…and I get withdrawal symptoms when Yorkshire gets its 3 days of summer and I can’t justify splashing out on the nutty slack.

Mine needs sweeping every 2 years. If you only have a fire at Christmas then you can get it done every 10!

If you live in Wensleydale, give my mate “Bert” a ring, he’ll pop in when he’s next passing, won’t leave a speck of soot, drink all your tea, match all you stories and charge you the princely sum of £25.00

God knows what it costs in Putney but I’m fairly confident you can probably expect “Hugo” to add a couple of quid on to that!
