Information Sheet on Painting Bathroom Walls

If the correct paint is used and the walls are prepared properly, the job is no different to any other room. In fact it’s a lot easier: there’s no furniture to move and usually no carpets to cover, just wipe clean surfaces. He can be as sloppy as he likes.

Preparation should include removing any mould, which may be present (up in the top corners usually). Bleach or fungicide will do this. Then he should sand off any old runs and “snots” he can see and away he goes. Snots are builder’s terminology for little pimples and bumps contained within dried paint. It’s not a very genteel word but then it’s uttered by not very genteel people!
