Information Sheet on Fitting a Boiler Flue

I’m wracking my brain cell to work out why a new flue is needed. Maybe the existing one is damaged or has to be moved because it’s now in the way of your latest project. Whatever the reason, it is vital it’s done by a qualified heating engineer. If it’s done incorrectly, that “next project” may never get done. Carbon monoxide is pretty unforgiving!

I’m not going to expand on types of flue…balanced, open, fanned…… the engineer can do that. We cover this in our
Boiler Fitting page. I will say however that it might not be possible to move an existing one. Balanced flues for instance, are pretty much designed to go only where they are now!

Fanned flues however can go around corners so we’ll assume that’s the one you need.
