Cost to Fit/Move Radiators

Job
Description
Labour
1
To get a plumber in who will remove one radiator, possibly when the room is being decorated, then return and put it back. If a problem arises, and considering the nature of radiator valves, particularly when they are old, it very well might, you can double this price…
£100
2
To change one leaking radiator for a same sized one (with a new TRV), in the same position.  This will take one man one leisurely day inc. the rad. and all materials.
£325
3
To reposition a radiator within the same room will require the furniture to be moved, the carpet and relevant boards taken up, the pipes frozen, the job done and everything replaced. This can take 2 men 1 day inc. materials.
£325
4
To fit a new radiator in a room or fit a rad. in a previously unheated room, assuming there is pipework in an adjacent hall or landing. This will be as per job 3, inc. the cost of the new rad etc.
 £475

“Labour” at £175 a day (tradesman) £100 (labourer), includes incidental fixings etc. and tipping charges. “Materials” if mentioned, are larger things (a boiler) and stuff only you can choose (tiles etc).  Also VAT must be added all round.

Information Sheet on Repositioning or Fitting a Radiator

Sorry if it all sounds complicated but I’m trying to second guess your radiator requirements and I’ve never met you. I’m perfectly happy banging away at my keyboard, divorced from the world, in my little leaking garret. I didn’t build it by the way (the garret), and I know how to fix it but I don’t have the time – I’m too busy saving you money!
